tde empower service realises significant performance improvements in challenging offshore drilling application

tde empower provided support to a multinational oil company over a challenging two well offshore campaign in the far east. The tde empower engineers used tde pronova to establish benchmarks, performance trends and KPI baselines. tde-trace was then used to analyse drilling practices and procedures and tde-prognose was used to identify hydraulic based performance opportunities.

Offset well analysis using the tde suite of tools identified opportunities in the 17-1/2, 12-1/4 and 8-1/2” sections. Recommendations made during the offset analysis stage were implemented and performance monitored with real-time observations provided to the operator.

Significant performance improvements were achieved on the second well, including several field best metrics. New bit technology recommended by the tde empower engineers was also successfully implemented.
