As the Senior Accountant, you will oversee and manage the financial operations of the companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Austrian GAAP and IFRS. Your involves coordinating with outsourced accountants and tax advisors to streamline financial processes, optimize tax strategies, and ensure timely financial reporting.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with outsourced accountants and tax advisors to streamline financial processes and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation of external audits.
  • Cost Accounting: Implement and manage cost accounting systems to track and control costs.
  • IFRS Adjustments: Manage the transition from Austrian GAAP to IFRS, including the preparation of financial statements and adjustments required for compliance.
  • ERP Implementation: support the implementation and optimization of ERP systems.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting, including the development and maintenance of internal controls and accounting manuals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and business environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a similar senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of Austrian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., BMD, Microsoft Dynamics, etc) and advanced Excel skills.
