We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer responsible for the end-to-end engineering of automation solutions, encompassing the entire project lifecycle from initial planning to commissioning. The role involves expertise in developing PLC software and creating interfaces to integrate PLC data using high-level programming languages. The Automation Engineer will work on diverse projects spanning the surface equipment of tde powerline and contribute to the development of testbeds for internal research and development initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of automation technologies and a proven track record in delivering robust and efficient automation solutions.

  • Automation Solutions Development: Responsible for the end-to-end development, engineering, and commissioning of automation solutions.
  • PLC Software Development: Design and implement PLC software to optimize system performance and functionality.
  • ATEX Standard Electrical Engineering: Execute electrical engineering in accordance with ATEX standards for safety and compliance.
  • User Interface and Experience Design: Create intuitive user interfaces and experiences for effective human-machine interaction.
  • PLC Interface Programming (Python): Program PLC interfaces using Python to enhance system integration and efficiency.
  • Data Visualization: Implement data visualization techniques to provide meaningful insights and enhance decision-making processes.
  • Testbed Engineering and Commissioning: Lead the engineering and commissioning of testbeds, ensuring their functionality and reliability.
  • Research and Development for tde powerline: Contribute to ongoing research and development initiatives for tde powerline components.
  • Electrical Testing: Conduct electrical testing of tde powerline components to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Automation Systems: Proficient in B&R, Beckhoff, Bachmann, showcasing hands-on experience in automation system implementation.
  • Programming Skills: Strong knowledge of at least one high-level language, preferably Python, for effective automation and system integration.
  • Scrum Experience: Familiarity with Scrum methodology, contributing to agile development cycles for efficient project execution.
  • Problem Solver: Proven ability to identify and resolve issues in automation processes, ensuring optimal system functionality.
  • Precision and Detail: Demonstrates precision and accuracy in all aspects of automation engineering, coding, and system implementation.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong team player, collaborating effectively to contribute to the success of automation projects.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficient in German and/or English at a B2 level or higher for effective communication in a diverse work environment.
  • Continuous Learner: Proactively seeks continuous learning, staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trend
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in automation engineering or a related field.
